SURGE 2017 is a virtual summit with a thesis: By joining together thousands of association professionals, we can collectively innovate and push our industry forward. Really, it’s an experiment in collaboration. We want to begin gathering insights immediately, so you can start to explore the potential of collaborative innovation as soon as you register. You can connect in our forum, contribute to our virtual idea box, participate by answering speakers’ questions, and absorb the broader conversations taking place amongst and beyond the SURGE community. On November 7th-9th, choose from a range of expert-led sessions to contribute to the discussions most meaningful to you.
Concerned about declining engagement in our nation’s membership associations, non-profits, and workplaces, Sarah Sladek founded XYZ University, a trend-setting, generations-focused training and engagement strategy company, in 2002.
She is the author of several research papers on the generational topic and four books including The End of Membership As We Know It (Association Management Press, 2011) and Knowing Y (Association Management Press, 2014).
In addition to being an author, Sarah is the founder of the RockStars@Work Conference, the nation’s first business conference focused on bridging talent and leadership gaps in the workforce, and co-founder and producer of Millennials to Members, the first online course designed to help associations develop a future-focused membership strategy.
Sarah’s expertise has been prominently featured in international media including Forbes, Fast Company, and National Public Radio, and she has keynoted events worldwide. Backed by years of experience and supported by solid research, she remains committed to helping organizations engage every generation to thrive and prosper in the new economy.
